Charlotte and the democratic convention were a trip. Glad we were a part of the love fest, as conventions nowadays tend to be. The week taught us that Americans remain optimistic about themselves and their country. Still much like FDR saw the nation in the turbulent 1930s: "The saving grace of America lies in the fact that the overwhelming majority of Americans are possessed of two great qualities -- a sense of humor and a sense of proportion."
